Your one stop shop for employer engagement in careers education!
Sheffield City Council's See it Be it in Sheffield campaign brings to life the world of work for young people in Sheffield and helps to raise aspirations and improve their life chances. We work with schools, colleges and other educational organisations, helping to link them with local employers and businesses to provide meaningful employer encounters and experiences of the workplace.
We work with employers and businesses to help broker and develop careers education activities, and provide strategic support and employer volunteers to schools, colleges and other education providers.
We are jointly funded by the South Yorkshire Careers Hub (part of the Careers and Enterprise Company) and Sheffield City Council to provide strategic support to schools and colleges to help them meet the Gatsby Benchmarks. We are also partnered with Sheffield Business Together to provide extra support to special schools and those in areas of disadvantage or low social mobility.
Our projects are fully funded so there is no cost for employers or educators - read on to find out how to access our support and get involved.
We work with businesses and employers of all sectors and sizes, from sole traders and micro businesses, to global corporations and large public sector organisations, and everything in between.
Our brokering service can help match you or your staff to opportunities in schools, colleges and other educational institutions, and we can provide support to help you develop and promote activities with local young people.
We provide strategic support to schools and colleges in Sheffield through the South Yorkshire Careers Hub. Our team of Enterprise Coordinators and volunteer Enterprise Advisers work with Careers Leaders to help you meet the Gatsby Benchmarks and provide meaningful employer encounters to your students.
If you are planning careers activities that require employer engagement, we can find employer volunteers for these through our brokering service.
